KOTA
The Kota Doria collection of Unnati Silks

The Kota Cotton Saree is translucent muslin, much preferred for its light weight, softness and airy comfort. Pure Cotton with golden Zari threads woven in square patterns is a popular variety. Variations in borders and a whole array of bright colours and shades like pink, blue, saffron, orange etc. applied to traditional prints and beautiful embroidery work create stunning effects. A most delightful and refreshing change is the Rajasthani Kota Saree woven by coarse cotton or golden threads with zari border and is much-preferred wear for daily casual, corporate offices, colleges and family get-togethers.

Stylish block floral or geometrical prints on the kota cotton sari with zari temple border is lovely attire for corporate conferences, college meetings and traditional occasions. Designer Kota Supernet Saree adorned by zari flower work and having a zari brocade border with an elegant pallu is apt for weddings, bridal attire, corporate office parties, college events.

The Masuria Silks are grand affairs since pure silk, gold and silver threads or Zari are used in the weaving. A famous example is that of the Katan Pure Silk Weaves. Beautiful Jaipuri prints, with traditional motifs, fancy zari or printed borders, exquisite embroidery work on the pallu, make the ethnic Kota Saree an exclusive must-have. Other worthy creations are the designer Kota Katan Silk Saree richly woven in Meena work and with suitable accompaniments and the Dabu block prints on Stylish Kota Sari for formal conferences and meets and not so formal occasions like college events and daily casual.

Experiments with the exotic

Soft, ‘sherbeti’ colours with pure and tested zari borders, jewel tones, silk cottons and cotton saris with dramatic broad borders form part of the evening wear collection. Festive wear saris include floral and vine motifs woven all-over in gentle colours, enormous gold amris woven on border and pallu as well as alternate stripes of gold and silver on borders. Pure silk tissues in lovely yellows and greens, deep blue and vibrant yellow saris with dramatic pallus and borders in zari are other saris displayed along with designer duppattas and stoles.

Kota Dorias are handlooms of Rajasthan that need no introduction. At Unati Silks they are further backed by Handloom Mark and Silk Mark certifications from the Govt. of India that assure the genuineness of the products.
