Another of the well-maintained beautiful gardens of Srinagar that came up during the Mughal rule. There are 4 main Gardens in Srinagar. Shalimar, Nishat, Chashma Shahi and Badambadi. All are appreciable and worth visiting. Flowerbeds fed by waters of natural streams, amazingly channelised, fountains in exact centre, and high and cold altitude flowers surrounded by tall Chinars present a scenic panorama.

A very big, lovely garden from the time of the Mughals, the layout of the garden is an adaptation of another Islamic garden layout known as the Persian gardens. It is said that this Bagh was built by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his wife Nur Jahan. The excellent use of terrace & natural water resource is the main feature of this place. It has The Baradari (marble pavilion) inside, a small building made of marble which is having twelve gates.

It is situated in the old city of Srinagar. You can plan to visit Jama Masjid, Dastgir Sahib,Shahi-Hamdan Shrine & Hazrat bal together but try to avoid Fridays as it would be most crowded. One can feel lot of energy in Jama Masjid when you enter as there is total silence with people performing Namaz inside. The place has long corridors with tall wooden pillars about 80 feet in height. Massive structures and amazing wood work. Inside the place there is a big fountain surrounded by garden.

This is a very famous Hindu Temple located in Tul Mul (Ganderbal) which is approximately an hour’s drive from Srinagar. This temple consists of a Pond where all devotees offer Milk/ Kheer to Mata Bhawani . It's assumed that Deity fulfills all the wishes of the person offering her Milk/ Kheer. The temple complex consists of a huge natural pond where all devotees give their offerings. The temple complex consists of Shiva & Hanuman Temples. The place is Divine. The open temple located in the centre is cooled by huge Chinar trees. There is a small army camp also nearby. Do visit if you make it to Srinagar.

Sinthan Top is perhaps one of the best natural beauty areas that one can see in Kashmir. The new highway is so clear and safe and easily takes one to the Sinthan Top. Most of the tourists are unaware of this place and even the cabbies will not take much pain or bother to inform about this place. An excellent place just like Gulmarg, without the crowd and with lots of snow! at other times, a beautiful place surrounded by pine trees, great environment that feels like heaven, its so fresh with lots of beautiful mountains and streams with fresh water.
